Hello Ladies.
We are about to embark on the 2026 golf season, so it’s time for me to update you all on upcoming activities, competitions and a few rules. It has turned in to rather a lengthy newsletter sorry !
We have had a fairly consistent turnout to our Saturday and Wednesday Ladies club days over the Christmas/New Year period and great to have had a few new members join us. Hopefully we will see more of you come along to
these days, as this is a perfect way to get more experience, maybe learn a thing or two and to get to know ‘the regulars’.
On a Saturday and Wednesday when you look online at the booking slots on the ‘Golf NZ’ app you will see that certain slots will have ‘Women’s Club Day’ written on them. This is where you can add your name if you wish to
come along and join in playing with the other Ladies. You cannot just book in to one of these slots to play with your friend/s. These slots are Club days and although (after our opening day), there is often a competition running, you
do not have to enter the competition but can still play. Could we please remind you all that if you intend to come along to a club day that you should go online and book your name in one of the specified slots OR you can ring the Golf Shop and get them to book you in. Please note that the actual time that you book in on these slots is NOT the time that you will tee off, we just want to know who is intending on coming along on that day to begin to compile
the playing groups. Tee off times (after opening day) are : SATURDAY 8.30am OR 12.18pm. WEDNESDAYS 9.30am. It is very helpful for the organisers that you are at the tee off area approx. 15 minutes prior to tee off.
The Committee reps for these days are:
- Saturdays – Linda Hill
- Wednesdays – Gaynor Ruawai

Thanks to those of you who have made yourselves available to represent our club for Pennants this year.

Web Site
The new web site is up and running. Just search Feilding Golf club. On there you will see the Event Calendar, which tells you what competitions are on and what days. If you go to the MEMBER LOGIN area and use your Golf NZ membership number and password you will see lots of information, including members directory, handbook etc.
This is what is replacing the printed handbook that we had a few years ago.
One last thing, just to clarify. In by-gone times because we have two Women’s club days, we had to nominate which of these days would be our competition day. i.e if you where just a Saturday player you would nominate Saturday to
be the day that you entered any competition, but if you played Wednesday and Saturday you had to nominate which day you would enter any competition so that you couldn’t enter twice in one week. ANYWAY, this is now not
required, as when you get your score card/digital card on Dot Golf it asks you if you want to enter the competition that is running that day and will not allow you to enter twice in one week.
I think I have covered everything for now. See you on the golf course over the next few weeks for our fun and enjoyable opening days.
