JUNIOR GOLF COACHING TERM ONE 2026

We are excited to open registrations for our Term 1 Junior Golf Programme at Feilding Golf Club.

Our junior programme is designed to be fun, inclusive, and development-focused, with age-appropriate coaching that builds strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game. Sessions run weekly during the school term and cater to all abilities—from beginners through to high-performance juniors.

Session Times

Sundays

• Ages 5–8: 2:00–3:00pm (entry level games based)
• Ages 9–12: 3:00–4:00pm (entry level games based)
• Ages 12+ (no handicap): 4:00–5:00pm (entry level games based)

Tuesdays

• Ages 12+ (handicap 24–54): 4:00–5:00pm (for players with handicaps above 24, games based, with big emphasis on "Futures events" around the area run by Golf NZ)
• Ages 12+ (handicap below 24): 5:00–6:00pm (for the more regular golfers with handicaps that are looking to take their games to the next level, will also be attending "Futures events around the area)

Wednesdays

• High Performance Juniors (selected players): 4:00–5:00pm (players selected for regular tournament golfers)
  (will also play play twilight after sessions over the summer months)

Term 1 Coaching Schedule

• Feb 8th – Open afternoon / Range
• Feb 15th/17th/18th – Range session: Driver skills
• Feb 22th/24th/25th – Chipping & on-course skills
• Mar 1st/3rd/4th – Putting
• Mar 8th/10th/11th – Iron fundamentals (range)
• Mar 15th/17th/18th – Putting skills & tournament preparation
• Mar 22nd/24th/25th – Skills activities & games session
  (Led by experienced juniors 22nd as Reuben will be away)
• Mar 29 – Feilding Golf Club Junior Open Day

Fees

• $50 per term (6 sessions)
• $10 per session for those wishing to try the programme without full commitment.
• Payments can be made online to 02-0628-0187042-00 using the reference JNR+surname or alternately these payments can be made in the Golf shop.

Additional Information

• A full schedule of upcoming tournaments—including club, Manawatu/Wanganui district, and national events—will be emailed to all participants and displayed on the junior noticeboard below the Golf shop.
• Clear expectations apply to players, staff, supporters, and family members regarding behaviour and participation. Failure to meet these expectations may result in disciplinary action.
• Parent and supporter involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
• Junior individual lessons: $40 (30 minutes)
• Group lessons: $60 (45 minutes, up to 4 players)
• Holiday programmes are also available and run separately from term coaching.
